This article addresses some of the features that you can customize so that the calibration works best for the AAC user.

Select the "Calibration" button in Mind Express that is programmed with the latest calibration tool (see [NEW FEATURE 8.2025] How do I add a calibration button in Mind Express that links directly to Intelligaze?). The screen in the image below will appear.
- Select "Calibration" to access the associated tools.
- On the main calibration screen, you can select from a variety of options, which are detailed below.

You will now see a screen with the calibration customization options.
- Calibration: Takes you to the positioning window to begin calibration
- Points: Number of points shown during calibration. The larger the number of points, the greater the accuracy.
- Tracking: Choose tracking for one eye or both eyes
- Target: Which target appears during calibration. Choose from a colored point, an image downloaded from the device, or a preset animation
- Background: Choose the background color of the calibration window

- Randomize: Randomize the order points are shown
- Skip bad points: Skip to next point if calibration data cannot be captured
- Audio Feedback: Play a sound when a point is accepted
- Slow: Slow down speed of calibration point movement
- Automatic: Automatically accepts points when user is looking. Turn off for newer users needing point cues to attend to calibration
- Region: Choose the area of the screen calibration targets are shown
