The "XTNDR Battery" from Forbes AAC is an industry-first design concept that allows an external battery pack to be mounted directly to 7/8” mount tubes using a simple integral clamp system. The battery pack features convenient cord management retainers that neatly store any charging cord slack to ensure that cord hangups and tangles are minimized.
In fall 2025, we released a newly designed XTNDR battery. It provides similar functionality to the original XTNDR, but with the added benefit of having a screen on the side of the battery that provides important power and charging settings.
The brilliance of the XTNDR is that it provides AAC users with extended run times on their communication devices without adding any additional bulk or weight to our sleek systems.
While XTNDR batteries were first developed to support our eye gaze devices (Winslate with Enable Eyes and ProSlate 13 with Enable Eyes), XTNDR batteries are compatible with all of our ProSlate and WinSlate devices.
The XTNDR battery is a communication device accessory (E2599) and can be funded by a variety of insurance plans.
