This article describes how to attach the XTNDR battery to a mounting system. Are you curious about what the XTNDR battery is? Check out this article for more information: What is the XTNDR Battery?
Please Note: Forbes AAC released a newly designed XTNDR battery in fall 2025. The attachment methods are identical, but both sets of reference pictures are included in the instructions below. The newer XTNDR pictures have a green background.
Attaching the XTNDR Battery to a Mounting System
The XTNDR battery can attach to any mounting system that has a 7/8” tube! This includes most wheelchair mounts, tabletop mounts, and rolling floor mounts!
- You will notice two clips attached to the XTNDR battery. Each clip has a piece that can be gently lifted to open the clip. Open both clips.
-
Once both clips are open, gently press the tube into the available space in the clips. If you are mounting to a wheelchair mount, the preferred location is the vertical tube.
-
Close the clips around the tube to ensure a secure attachment.
- Insert the included charging cord into the USB-C port, and plug the other end of the cord into the device. Confirm that the device is charging by referring to the indicator on the device.
- Wrap any loose cord around the cord management retainers on the XTNDR Battery.
Removing the XTNDR from a Mounting System
- Unplug the charging cord from the communication device.
-
Open the two clips on the XTNDR battery.
- Gently remove the XTNDR Battery from the mount pole.
